The kiwi was first exported to America, first in 1962 and from that time was called kiwifruit, named after the kiwi bird, the emblem of the country of New Zealand. It was not until 1970 that it made its way to Italy and currently, it is produced in different varieties.
A favorite food for young and old, the kiwi is therefore a widely consumed fruit and has many beneficial properties that are very indicated for health. Dehydrated kiwi is high in calcium, which is necessary for maintaining normal bones, and is fat-free.
